Our 1990 Toyota Camry was sold today, at 200,503 miles. That car took a licking and kept on ticking. It has served me well for almost 9 years and 90,000 miles, without much trouble or complaint from all of my abuse. 6 accidents (only 1 was my fault, unless you count the deer), 2 sets of tires, 1 battery, 1 timing belt, 1 distributor cap and set of plug wires, and about 20 oil changes, maybe a few air filters later, it’s kind of sad to see it go. At least it is going to someone who is fixing it up, and not going to the junkyard.

I decided I didn’t want to fix it up, so I might as well get rid of it.

I installed a spell checker program for this WordPress blog today. After some fiddling, it appears to work. Watch for the the check spelling button at the bottom of posts and comments. Watch out, it apparently doesn’t check titles.

I am building a new computer at work. Here are the specs. Athlon 64 3500+, MSI K8 Neo4 Platinum, MSI Nvidia Geforce 6200, 2GB PC3200 RAM, 2×300Gb SATA Seagate Hard Drives, Lian Li case, Logitech Bluetooth Dinovo Media Desktop, Dell 24″ LCD monitor, Silverstone fanless power supply, Thermaltake Sonic Tower fanless processor heat sink, and a Zalman replacement fanless northbridge heatsink. There is one 120mm fan in the whole setup. They idea was to build a quiet, powerful computer. I’m also testing ubuntu linux on it. So far, i like it. I’ll post pictures soon.

I’ve played with what is now called blogging for several years now but never could stick with it… first livejournal, then blogger, but this is my first attempt to install blog software. So far, WordPress seems pretty easy to use.

Now to customize it..
