Goodbye Camry
Our 1990 Toyota Camry was sold today, at 200,503 miles. That car took a licking and kept on ticking. It has served me well for almost 9 years and 90,000 miles, without much trouble or complaint from all of my abuse. 6 accidents (only 1 was my fault, unless you count the deer), 2 sets of tires, 1 battery, 1 timing belt, 1 distributor cap and set of plug wires, and about 20 oil changes, maybe a few air filters later, it’s kind of sad to see it go. At least it is going to someone who is fixing it up, and not going to the junkyard.
I decided I didn’t want to fix it up, so I might as well get rid of it.

Hi,
Two sets if tyres in 90,000 miles! They must be some tyres. Or mabye your car is easier on tyres then others? I don’t know. I do know that our main car, which is a people carrier (Espace) needs 4 tyres approimately every 24000 miles. And ours is pure urban use.
Any thoughts?
Best wishes

I used good tires. Toyo Z800 Ultra from Les Schwab Tires here in the US. They had a 80,000 mile warranty, so I was actually go some money to apply to the second set since they wore out in 60,000.
