Wow! I’ve really gotten into gmail, and like it a lot. With the addition of google calendar, it is only getting better. I signed up for a beta program to host nickell.org email via gmail and was accepted. If you want a nickell.org email with gmail’s interface and 2gb limit please email me. I hope that google will open up it’s awesome google calendar service soon to hosted users soon too. While I’m dreaming, I hope I can sync to an ipod, nokia 6255, and a palm.

Some hints for converting to gmail…

Gmail has some great help for new users, use it to help import your contacts.
turn keyboard shortcuts on, and learn them. (fast)
Use labels and filters to automatically deal with mail. (labels are so much better than filters)
Ask me for help… I may not know the answer, but I like to learn and solve problems.

For those hoping to convert their domain to gmail, if anyone asks I’ll do a review of the process, or answer questions, but to get you started, read google’s FAQ.

Here is someone else who put together a review about converting from dreamhost.
