Wait to buy new computers?
If you are thinking about buying a new computer, or upgrading that old processor, it might pay to hold off as there is expected to be a processor price war this summer, with AMD and Intel dropping prices by 50-60 percent on some chip models. Intel’s price cut is not official, but expected July 23rd, when their next generation processors come out and the price cuts are expected help Intel to clear old inventory and help grab market share. Now there are rumors that AMD is planning on dropping prices as well.
All this probably means cheaper/more powerful systems by late summer/early fall.
